Happy New Year parkrun Double Day

, ,

Brueton parkrun:
Starting with our home parkrun, Brueton saw a bumper New Year K&D turnout. Led round by Habib Farazmand running 17:23 to kick off 2020. He was backed up by big Dave Carbutt in 18:56 and Richard Dixon who clocked a 19:02.

K&D Women were led by the Irish heroine Monica Green who ran a impressive 22:16, Kerry Ann Thompson who ran 22:29 and Kate Marsh who ran 23:45.

No PB’s today but Alan Green did run his 50th parkrun on New Years Day. Congrats Alan.

Kingsbury Waterpark parkrun:
Jason Pitcher was the first of the doublers as he combined a run at Brueton (20:35) with a 21:33 at Kingsbury. Lloyd Barton (21:20 Brueton) ran 22:12 behind Jason and Max Mladenovic combined a 22:38 at Brueton with a 22:15 at Kingsbury.

Kerry Whitehill led the women at Kingsbury in 26:30 (27:29, Brueton), Sarah Cattell (27:27, Brueton) ran 27:50 and Nicky Evans (25:54) finished Kingsbury in 33:04

Perry Hall parkrun:
David Carbutt didn’t get the Kingsbury memo so was the sole K&D rep at Perry Hall running 19:31 (18:56, Brueton)

Sutton park parkrun:
Phil Wood ran 21:51 at Sutton parkrun. In what looks like a non-double outing

Rondebosch Common parkrun:
Nothing common about Club Sec Jo Tork as she enjoyed a New Year parkrun party in South Africa at Rondebosch Common parkrun. Jo enjoyed a trot round in 37:11

Exmouth parkrun:
A super flat out and back along the prom was just what the doctor ordered for the John’s as Darren John clocked 17:40 – fastest time since the whole blood clot near-death fiasco in June 2018 onwards. David John ran 32:44 in his second parkrun since the whole blood-clot near-death fiasco two weeks ago. (David had to queue for c. 1 minute to cross the line due to so many runners converging on Exmouth)

Torbay Velopark parkrun:
Having ran 17:59 twice in the last week at Torbay Darren John ran 18:00 at his second parkrun of the day. David John ran 32:19 to make it look like he ran faster in the second parkrun of the day

Again – parkrun doesn’t compile NYD parkrun results like they do on a normal Saturday so if you did a different parkrun please do put your result in the Facebook comments underneath.
