Inter Club Run Weds 22nd July
Here are the details of the eagerly awaited Inter Club Run on Wednesday 22nd July.
PLEASE NOTE – This event is at Sils RUFC not at the cricket club
Hosted by ourselves the event is a four club run consisting of K&D, Kenilworth Runners, Spa Striders and Stratford AC. This is a team event that all members should endeavour to take part in, as the club score is related to the number of runners taking part – the more runners the more points we get. It is not how fast you run that matters, but whether you run. This run is suitable and encouraged for members of all abilities.
This is becoming one of the most important events in our club calendar. The run is for every member of the club and there will be no club night on the 22nd as we hope that everyone will make an effort to turn out for this event.
There will be a free meal in the newly refurbished Sils Clubhouse at the end of the race for all those taking part!

The course is suitable for normal road running shoes. If particularly wet, trail shoes may provide better grip on the short off-road sections:
Lap 1: Start for 600m on grass. 550m trail over two short sections
Lap 2: 550m trail over two short sections. 600m on grass to Finish
Each lap traverses a shallow ford that can be crossed by bridge or via the shortest route straight through the middle. Your choice!
POST RACE – 8:15pm approx
Complimentary post-race meal and results in the Sils Clubhouse (Fully licensed bar). Time to bask in post-race glory and share our mutual enjoyment of this great sport of ours.
