Midland Road Relays – 28th March

So this post is like a save the date card. Except that its a blog post, not a card.  And not at all wedding related.  Unless you’re getting married on Saturday 28th March.  In Sutton Park.  In which case you might want to rethink because it’ll be packed full of keen runners competing in the Midland Road Relays.

In fact, if you’re not getting married on Saturday 28th March and can be in Sutton Park, why not pull on your club vest and participate in the Midland Road Relays.  It’s a great race, great fun, and the closest us runners get to a team race. Plus it’s a great chance you’ll get to see some top runners in full flow (like the handsome chap on the far left in the photo).

So, in case I haven’t said it enough, the Midland Road Relays are on Saturday 28th March and it would be fabulous if you could run for your club.  The Men’s Teams race over a total of 12 stages (4 long and 8 short) whilst the Ladies Teams race over 6 stages.

Our Men’s A Team has qualified for the National Road Relays in the both of the last 2 road relays and it would be absolutely terrific if we could keep that streak up.  It would be equally terrific if we could field 2 full teams so we’re looking for at least 24 eager men and 12 keen women.

Please note the top 30 teams will qualify for the National Road Relays, which will take place 2 or 3 weeks later in early April also in Sutton Park.

If you are interested (of course you are) and available (the only excuse we will accept is that you are actually getting married) can you please drop one of your club captains an email.
