The RUNdown – 20th June

Chris Sharp Committee 2020-21Heyford Airbase Half Marathon

A superb first place overall for Men’s Captain Chris Sharp. Completing the 13.1 miles in grim conditions in a time of 1:11:22 (that’s an average pace of around 5:25/mile!), this is also a new PB for Chris – amazing running, and just 11 seconds short of the Club record!

Tsunami (Bude) Coastal Trail Ultra

5 of our seasoned Trail runners headed to the most rugged, wild and remote section of the North Devon and Cornish coastline for some extreme “fun” along the clifftops and cliff trails. The 36-mile Ultra Marathon started at Westward Ho!  heading along the Coastal path to Bude, and is one of the toughest trail running challenges in the South-West. Due to the nature of the terrain – wild and isolated – there were no towns or villages along the route.
