Paris & Brighton Marathons 

Congratulations to Camille Neal for completing the Paris Marathon in a new PB time of 3 hours and 53 minutes!

Back on home soil it was the Brighton Marathon for Andy and Billy Connorsand Jo Hitchcock. First home for K&D was Billy, posting a fantastic sub 3:30 time of 3 hours and 27 minutes, narrowly beating dad Andy by 7 seconds! A big well done also to Jo who finished in 4 hours and 4 minutes

London Landmarks Half

Meanwhile in London it was the iconic  London Landmarks half marathon for Run Leader Coordinator Chris Wellings and a shorter race than usual for John Garside, who both finished in 1 hour 52 minutes (and well done to Chris for his new half marathon PB!

Putney & Fulham HM and Monsal Trail Half Marathon and 10k

On the other side of the Thames, Lloyd Barton completed the Putney and Fulham (partly) trail HM in 1 hour 45 minutes,

6 KandD athletes popped up to Bakewell to do the out and back races on the Monsal Trail scenic railway route up to the dales of the White Peak, with cool, damp conditions made it a good run.

Pete Austin finished the half marathon in 40th place in 1hr 39:24, and 2nd vet 55. Next back was Lorna Davies time of 1 hour 58 minutes with Isabel Collins also nipping under two hours in 1:59

Jan Hornby, Nigel Collins and Isabel Arthur completed the 10k distance in time of 1:05, with Jan and Nigel finishing in 1 hour, closely follwoed y Isabel in 1 hour and 5 minutes

Midland Counties Road Relays

Saturday saw our men’s team taking part in the very competitive Midlands Counties 12-stage Road Relays, achieving an excellent 28th overall place. Great work from Greg Turner, Gareth Wainwright, Matt Hipwell, Chris Morgan, Chris Revell, David Carbutt, Lewis Towers, Rene Vergo, Ben Jones, Jonathan Jennings, Anthony Ellis and Steven Whatmore who now qualify for the ERRA relays at Surtton Park in 2 weeks’ time

Centurions 5-mile Race Series
