THE RUNDOWN – 31st OCTOBER: COVENTRY HALF MARATHON & PARKRUN
Coventry Half Marathon
In some of the the wettest conditions for years, 14 hardy K&D runners took on this challenging course, seeing some great times and performances. Nick Woolley came 3rd overall in a speedy 1 hour 10 minutes with Amanda O’Leary leading the ladies home in an impressive 1:34 and coming 2nd in her age category. She was closely followed by Monica Green who was 3rd in the same age category. The rain finally stopped and the sun came out by the end of the race (spot the “before” and “after” pictures!)

Parkrun roundup
Saturday morning at 9am was definitely weather for ducks around most of the country, and consequently parkrun numbers were much lower than usual. Special shout-out to John Garside on completing his 300th (yes that’s 300 parkruns!) at Brueton.
Elsewhere, it was a superb 1st OVERALL for Jane Evans at Wetherby parkrun, and 1st overall for George de Bolla at Woodhouse Moor. Unsurprisingly given the conditions, just one PB to mention this week – well done Tasha Campbell!
