With a number of runners off breaking their XC spikes in at the Midland Counties XC relays (a post forthcoming once results are out…) it was left for our parkrunners to hold the fort; and a number of them did so with aplomb.
A massive congratulations to Gareth Wainwright who’s 17:00 PB has been a lingering for far too long. After a number of very near misses he finally broke 17 minutes at Brueton. Smashing through to a 16:45. That makes him the 4th fastest K&D runner ever at Brueton, only behind Sharp, Bentley and Reid.
A sensational run by Jane Hunt saw her run 22:29. Not only is that a PB; it registered a massive 80.50% age grade rating.
Subhash Agarwalla continued his steady improvements over the last several months registering a new PB of 26:36.
First three men across the line were the previously mentioned Gareth followed by Anthony Dutton and Darren John.
Felicity Sharp ran a storming 20:24 followed by Jane Hunt and Kathy Bailey.
Congratulations to Brian Corr on joining the 50 club and good luck to Nigel Foster who now sits on 99.
Cannon Hill parkrun
Apparently the cafe at Cannon Hill has undergone a refurb and the quality of their cakes improved. This may or may not be why Keith Whitehead visited this week. He ran 26:56.
One of our newer members, Chris Quarmby pitched up in North-West Wales at Dolgellu parkrun. Being a Welsh town it of course has to have at least 3 l’s in it’s name. Chris ran 25:09. Welll Done Boyo.
XC Relay Results and photo’s to follow. Good Running Team.
