Manchester Half Marathon

The first year of Manchester Half was inaugurated by several of K&D’s finest.

Peter Roberts becomes our de facto club record holder over the course with a 1:38:12. Hala Atkin took the ladies honours in 1:55:04.

Also in Manchester were the Maggs. While they ran together Claire showed she is all killer with a dip on the line to take the household honours. 2:06:31 to 2:06:32. Amy Cordiner ran 2:14:08 followed by Mark Cordiner-Barton who clocked 2:22:44 as he returns following a layoff.

Brueton parkrun
Gareth Wainwright started his great weekend of running with a 17:07 clocking. He is continually knocking on that door of sub-17 and we’re sure it’s only a matter of time! Richard Dixon was second across the line in 18:50 while Darren John continued his injury comeback with 19:07; his fastest since July. He was swiftly followed by Rob Ambrose and Anthony Dutton directly behind him.

Jane Hunt was first lady this week; running 22:31. Equalling her PB. So close!
Siobhan Cotter ran 22:52 to finish just behind Jane. Kerry Whitehill rounding out the top 3 ladies in 26:17.

Sally Anderson – 26:27 PB!
Chris Quarmby – 24:47 PB!

Boys 1 – Girls 1. Well done you two. Having only recently joined the club Chris Quarmby celebrated in style.

Bolton parkrun

This appears to be the first time Bolton parkrun has appeared in this column. Andrew Knowles therefore is de facto king of K&D King of Bolton. He ran 24:21.

Good Running Team!
