Weekend Recap: E-Wrex, Dobbie and the Dray Cote
Wrexham 20:
With international Women’s Day and Mothers day it was a celebration of all things woman this week. So it’s fitting we start with one of those women-people. Emma Lowe finished 5th female overall in 2:35:44 at the Wrexham 20. A super time.
Draycote Water 10k:
Richard Dixon (Not a woman) narrowly missed out on a podium finish at the Draycote Water 10k finishing 4th overall but over joyed by winning a new pair of socks for his efforts. I think being given items of clothing grants him his freedom? Richard ran 37:36
Brueton parkrun:
A soggy adventure at Brueton this weekend as K&D got the fun of a flooded park. With it being Women’s Week let us start with the ladies.
Louise Bell was first K&D woman on Saturday with a 22:55 just ahead of Siobhan Cotter who clocked 23:38 and the return of Flick Sharp in 24:59. Welcome back Flick!
The men were led by Gareth Wainwright in 17:16, a barcode forgetting Chris Morgan and Rob Michaelson-Yeates in 17:33. Top running chaps.
Eastville parkrun:
In the village of Eastville, which is presumably east of Westville, Ann Gay ran 29:12.
Kingsbury Water parkrun:
At what must have been an incredibly muddy Kingsbury Simon Battson ran 24:40.
