Weekend Recap: Elf and Safety Wreaks Snow Havoc

York Yuletide Trail: Amanda Crees beat the snowpocolypse to enjoy the delights of the York Tuletide Trail. The 5 mile race took Amanda 46:47 however she definitely came first in the best elf outfit.

Brueton parkrun: WIth snow causing a raft of race cancellations across the UK our friends at Brueton did amazing work to put on a SIX (!!) lap off-road course. The snow must go on.

Paul Bentley took the honours as his bravery in the snow rewarded him with a top K&D man position in 22:30.  The course was about 400m long but Anthony Dutton took a welcome K&D second in 23:16 followed by Mike Durkin in 25:23.

For our women Sally Anderson took first place on the multi-lap course in 30:34, Smita Deshpande followed Sally home in 33:37 and Gail Partridge in 37:41 rounded out our top 3.

Winchester parkrun

Being closer to the equator means Winchester was more like the Bahamas than Brueton (compatatively, maybe). Rob Ambrose took advantage to run a solid 20:00 in slightly better conditions that he would have found at home.
