Weekend Recap: Knowle Fun Run, Worcester Source and O’Nions

,

Knowle Fun Run:

It was a hot, hot, hot afternoon at the Knowle Fun Run as the 9.6km course brought residents out with their hoses to keep runners cool. Knowle & Dorridge RC fought off a Coventry Godiva throw down, locals cheered on their Green and Gold heroes and there were plenty of familiar faces supporting. Congrats to our A Team who retained the Team Trophy.

Worcester Half Marathon:

Congrats to Adam O’Nions who supplemented his Knowle Fun Run supporting duties with a quick jaunt round Worcester Half Marathon in 1:37:44

Brueton parkrun:

Gareth Wainwright warmed up for Knowle Fun Run with a gun to tape first place at Brueton on Saturday. He was pushed by young S&SH Whippersnapper Keelan Hopewell but Gareth used his ‘experience’ to triumph in 17:28. Rob Michaelson-Yeates and Richard Dixon rounded out the K&D top-3 with 17:55 and 18:32.

Flick Sharp continued to chip away at her post-preggers parkrun times with a 21:42. Lindsay Dalby took second K&D woman; but more importantly smashed her PB. Superb work! Amanda Crees rounded out our women’s top-3; clocking a pre-Knowle Fun Run 28:14.

Joining Lindsay in PB Corner this week was Kay Adenipekun who clocked 23:47. Russell Singleton ran a swift 21:55 PB and Baldev Korotania lowered his best to 28:55. Congrats to Jonathan Bellman who ran his 50th parkrun.

Arrow Valley parkrun:

Darren John and Kate Marsh continued their Tour de Local parkrun’s by popping into Richard Dixon territory. Darren ran a tummy-ache troubled 17:37 while Kate Marsh clocked 24:07 (being less of a Friday night glutton).

Cannon Hill parkrun:
A Tomkinson and Edwards day out as Kevin T turned up at Cannon Hill, ran 32:32. He found Caroline Edwards and Graham Edwards right behind him in 32:37 and 32:38.

Bryn Bach parkrun:
Steve Marks returned to the mother land to run 34:26. Well done to the Llad.

Guernsey parkrun:
Steve McDonald enjoyed some mid-race gurning in Guernsey. He ran 29:30.

Bedworth parkrun:
Steve Armstrong’s 23:19 saw him swiftly complete the Bedworth course.
