Gentlemen usually get to go first in race results so in the name of gender equality…
Elaine Callinan took the honours for K&D Ladies at Brueton parkrun on Saturday. And in a new PB no less. She was rewarded for her recent hard graft and XC racing with a new 5k PB of 22:57. Jane Hunt was just behind in 23:01 and Sarah Cattell clicked 23:55 for third place.
The men were PB Free in the first three. Gareth Wainwright and Darren John were their now habitual one and two at Brueton. Michael Swann put in a snappy performance in third with a 19:03 clocking.
Those in PB Corner might need to squeeze in today. There were PBs for Norlinda Drakeley (40:41), Kerry Hobbis (26:40), Elaine Callinan (22:57), Rob Stewart (23:30 a 62 sec improvement!), Gail Partridge (36:48), Jane Quarmby (29:08) and Katie Oliver (27:31)
Forest of Dean parkrun:
Steve Marks enjoyed a casual run around the Forest of Dean; about the only location you can make the Run Forest, Run! Joke and not get a clip round the ear is in an actual forest. He ran 36:09.
Hayley Murphy made the short journey up the road to enjoy her run around Coventry. Her time was 29:12.
Gary Welsh was to be found in Peterborough this weekend. For 24 minutes and 22 seconds anyway.
Ian Naisbitt drove a blue car to Redcar for a 21:33 parkrun.*
*Actually i’ve no idea what colour car he drives. He might have even got the train.
The Keith and The Linda Whitehead were in Fareham this week. I presume they went together. It’d be a coincidence if they’d both just rocked up near Portsmouth and bumped into each other accidentally. Anyway. They ran 24:03 and 30:59.
Old friend Riina Kuuselo ran 20:56 in the suburbs of Stockholm. The lack of double ee’s and oo’s in her surname always makes me sad. Riina Kuuseeloo just sounds nice to say.
