Weekend Recap Part 2: York II, parkrun roundup

York 10 Miler:
Apologies to Mrs Horsfield who was cruelly missed from yesterday’s roundup of results. Emma was 11th fastest female over the 10 mile course. Emma ran a superb 1:08:04 which is in the top 340 British women’s times ran this year over the classic distance.

Brueton parkrun:
Bristow was bristling as he ran from Shirley to Brueton and took 1st place in 17:53. A geat split session that suggests he’ll suun back up his low 17’s with something spectacular. Jane Evans led the way on a spectacular weekend for our women as she ran a smooth 19:01 to take first woman and 2nd K&D overall. Our ladies really put down a marker as Flick Sharp was 3rd overall running 19:52 – back under 20 mins. Chris Morgan paced Flick and himself ran 19:53. Taking third man was Edward Fraser Long in 20:17 while Mary loosened her post-Chester cobwebs with 23:07.

Lianne Le Swann took pride of place on the PB Podium running  a new best of 28:34. Gail Partridge joined her with a snazzy new time of 30:32.

Banbury parkrun:
Jessica Woolley ran 22:20 at Banbury.

Basildon parkrun:
23:49 for Simon Battson in Basildon.

Coventry parkrun:
The Edwards’ popped up in Cov as Graham ran 26:49 and Caroline scored the very pleasing time of 33:33.

Lymington Woodside parkrun:
Karen Stapley ran 27:30 running at the Woodside.

Shrewbury parkrun:
Be gone Burgoyne! Well, be gone to Shrewsbury for the weekend where he ran 21:31.

Rogiet parkrun:
No idea where Rogiet is. Kevin Tomkinson found it though and ran 27:40.

Dishley parkrun:
Misread this as Disney parkrun. Little disappointed now. Loughborough doesn’t have a Disney park it seems. Ian Maidment didn’t go on Space Mountain but did run 25:58.
