Over in Dublin Monica Green made a late in the year PB marathon dash. In the appropriately coloured Green of Knowle & Dorridge she finished 9th in her category. She ran a very swift 3:24:08. That is only just outside the top 100 in her age category on the runbritain.com rankings for the year. Hope she got a celebratory Guinness after.

Brueton parkrun

Not content with going sub 17 for the first time last week Gareth Wainwright did it again. Currently building up for New York Marathon Gareth is in cracking form and ran 16:48. Darren John’s recovery continued as he ran his fastest 5k since he broke himself back in July with an 18:41 for second K&D man. Right behind him was Paul Williams who was only 3 seconds off his PB running 19:12.

Siobhan Cotter was first K&D lady this week; and celebrated with a shiny new PB of 22:23. Kathy Bailey was close behind in 22:29 with Jane Hunt continuing her good form in 22:40. It’s great to see those ladies pushing each other on to faster times as a group.

Numbers:
38 K&D Runners at Brueton
1 First Timer: Phillip Lindsey
2 PB’s: Nigel Collins 26:21 & Siohan Cotter 22:23.

Congrats to both Nigel and Siobhan and well done to Phillip on completing his first parkrun.

Arrow Valley parkrun

Over in Redditch Richard Dixon continues his current good form with an 18:39 for 5th place.

Kingsbury Waterpark parkrun

Ian Maidment clocked 29:07 over in the park of many lakes.

Holkham parkrun

Holkham parkrun makes its first apperance in this column. Ann Spencer-Dowdeswell broke new ground for the club; running 28:29 in the process.
