Weekend Recap: All Quiet on the Running Front

,

Brueton parkrun:

Bit of a quiet one this week in terms of races up and down the country. Thankfully our trusty sidekick parkrun is always there though. Brueton served up a slice of Morgan pie as Chris Morgan took the team round in 17:29. Warming up for the BRAT 5k with another quick parkrun following his recent PB over the distance. He was followed by Chairman Darren in 17:44 and Men’s Captain Torsten Roesler making a rare parkrun appearance with an 18:21 clocking.

Rosie Marsh clocked an impressive PB of 20:28 as she continues to go from strength to strength. It was a Marsh 1-2 as Kate Marsh (no relation) also ran a PB of 24:42 to be second K&D woman on Saturday. Siobhan Cotter ruined the chances of a Marsh the Third appearing though by finishing just behind them in 26:25.

In PB corner we find Marsh #1 and Marsh #2 ( which being which being dependent on your personal preference). Joining them is Paul Williams who ran a stonking 18:46. Chris Morgan joined the 50 club. Congrats to our quad of achievement.

Coventry parkrun
Tim Price took a sojourn to Coventry to lay down some sick K&D beats. He raced round in 18:29 finishing 5th and quoting Montell Jordan’s 1995 Jam ‘This is how we do it’.

Lancaster parkrun

Mary Heald enjoyed a leisurely, by her standards, slow jam at Lancaster parkrun. Her 31:57 time matched the exact running time of the album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill by Lauryn Hill, released in 1998*.

*I made that up.
