Weekend Recap: Telford 10k, Centurions GP 3, Bruet-non

With Brueton off due to ice it was left to Telford 10k and Centurions Grand Prix to keep the assorted K&D’ers out of trouble this weekend.

Telford 10k:

Re-arranged after snow broke the course in December the Telford 10k is one of the fastest 10k’s in the UK. A top class field was slightly weakened due to county cross country on Saturday and a rearranged date but the race was won in 29:12 by Charlie Hulson, former National XC Champion. Our own Adam O’Nions led K&D home in 44:02 while Claire Maggs took the first place for K&D Women – despite initially being missed off the results. A big well done to Isabel too who marked her return after a long lay off.

Adam O’Nions – 44:02
Claire Maggs – 54:33
Lorna Davies – 55:04
Amanda Marklew – 55:45
Ann Spencer-Dowdeswell – 57:03
Sian Davies – 1:00:37
Isabel Arthur – 1:00:37
Steve Marks – 1:05:40
Fiona Holland – 1:07:37

Centurions GP 3:

Centurions was quiet too this week with XC and Telford spreading out the field like Nutella on a bagel. With no Olympic ringers our own Rosie Marsh won the women’s race with Darren John finishing 4th overall (and being told off for racing by everyone because he’s been a poorly boy). The course was reversed due to ice and we’re convinced that makes it a slower course. Physics.
