Never let it be said that the Knowle & Dorridge crew aren’t amongst the toughest around. Despite a frankly rotten day and lashing rain until seven in the evening more than thirty K&D Runners pitched up in wellies, waterproofs and canoe’s for the inaugural Monty 5k.
Credit to Leamington C&AC who spent considerable time making the course good for going – only for it to chuck it down right before race start. Their hard work was not in vain though as the course held up well.
On the Men’s Side Joseph Read finished 10th and first K&D male home in 17:10. After twisting an ankle and swearing VERY loudly (sorry!!) Darren John finished in 18:27 (34th). Our Chairman Jonathan Randall, who’s about the only leader still in a job after this week, finished in 18:44 (40th).
For the ladies Felicity Sharp continued to stake a claim as the #1 speedster in the Sharp household with a 20:51 for first K&D Lady (12th), Lorraine Hobbs continued her good form snagging a 21:43 clocking (20th) and Emma Donnelly rounded off the top three with 23:05 (38th)
Usually we list PB’s here but we are still waiting for runbritainrankings.com to update; If you did run a PB do let us know in the coments – otherwise we’ll wish a hearty congratulations to anyone who set a new personal best.
