SAFEGUARDING AND WELFARE

KDRC acknowledges its responsibility to safeguard the welfare of adults in the Club and is committed to working to provide a safe environment for all of its members. The Club is committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice and EA (England Athletics) requirements. KDRC are affiliated to England Athletics and follow their policies & procedures for Safeguarding and Welfare:

The Club has appointed a Lead Welfare Officer (LWO) in line with EA guidance. The LWO has attended a suitable course to provide training and is the first point of contact for all club members regarding concerns for the welfare of any vulnerable person. The LWO will be familiar with the procedures for referring any concerns and following safeguarding policy.
