Cross Country is the mainstay of the racing calendar through the winter. A great way to bond with club mates and compete together as a team.

K&D cover athletes’ entries into several competitions and events and all members are encouraged to take part. We have had excellent turnouts in recent seasons and we want to continue that trend. We need YOU! – please let Club Captain Katie Price (captain@knowleanddorridgerc.co.uk) know if you’re keep to take part (all abilities welcome and we especially welcome first-timers to XC).

Our ladies’ team compete in Division 2 of the Midland Womens Cross Country League.

Our men’s team compete in Division 2 of the Birmingham Cross Country League.

K&D take an active part in the Warwickshire Road Race League, a series of events usually held April-October to promote road racing for all and stimulate competition amongst local clubs.

Distances range from 5k to half marathon and are well supported with big turnouts, and all standards are welcome.

The Road Relays offer another great chance to come together and compete as a club and we always look to field as many teams as possible.

These events are often held at Sutton Park, under various formats and our ladies and mens teams have been successful in qualifying for the National Road Relays several times in recent years.

K&D also field at least on team in the Cotswold Hilly 100 relay, an all day event where local running clubs have teams of 10 runners complete an undulating 100 mile loop between them. We would love to enter more teams for this event in future – watch Club Comms for notice of dates and to register your interest.

K&D also love parkrun, whether as tourists or supporting the many local parkruns in the area. Brueton parkrun is the home event for the club, with at least 60 of our members attending every week, but K&D members are also very active in volunteering and supporting other nearby events.

Track racing is a growth area for the club.

There are many competitive athletics clubs in the area which host Open Graded Track Meetings.

K&D runners have competed in these at distances from 1500m up to 10,000m.

Warwickshire Athletics have information on these meetings.

Midland Masters Athletics Club also give details of further fixtures for runners who are 35 or older.
