Weekend Recap: parkrun Fun

Brueton parkrun:
Gareth Wainwright continued his excellent recent form by adding a 16:36 PB to his shiny collection of great recent results. Gareth was joined by Habib Farazmand who edged ever closer to the 18 minute barrier as he clocked an 18:03. Splitting the PB buddies was George De Bolla who cemented his excellent recent form with a 17:25

Just as impressive was Flick Sharp. Smoothly running under 20 minutes, Flick’s 19:48 was just 27sec off her personal best. She was joined by Mary heald who beat husband Pete by a second for family honours in 20:44. Kate Marsh was third in 23:44

Arrow Valley parkrun:
Kev Tomkinson pitched up in Redditch for a 24:45 parkrun as he did the popular local two-lapper

Hasenhide parkrun:
On the eve of Berlin Marathon Darren and David John did their first foreign parkruns, a two lapper round Hasenhide parkrun. Darren ran 18:25 and David clocked 33:23

Rheinaue parkrun:
Kay Adenipekun popped up in Deutschland as we made it two German parkruns ticked off this weekend. Kay clocked a very swift 22:13

Cannon Hill parkrun:
Pete Austin put down an impressive 21:04 in the shadow of Edgebaston Stadium

Babbs Mill parkrun:
Two man and a parkrun. Jason Pitcher clocked 21:25 and Darren Maggs finished in 22:38

Omskirk parkrun:
Rob Ambrose ran 20:30 as he charged round Ormskirk in fifth place

Prospect parkrun:
No it’s an actual parkrun – not just a Prospect. Nick Woolley whippeted round in 18:40

Fletcher Moss parkrun:
Who’s Fletcher Moss? Any relation to Kate Moss? Ainsley Wainwright ran it in sub-20 with a nice 19:57

Stratford-upon-Avon parkrun:
Stev Marks took in the riverside route opposite the RSC in 34:16

Sutton parkrun:
So many local parkrun’s to choose from now! Ian Maidment chose Sutton park and clocked 27:54

Ballincollig parkrun:
K&D’s Scandi-Ringer Riina Kuuselo clocked 20:30 to finish in exactly the same time as Rob Ambrose in Ormskirk
