Brueton parkrun: With so many races on the weekend the main update for your K&D Weekend Recap will be dropping on Tuesday. In the meanwhile, to keep you ticking over we have plenty of news from parkrun-world.
At Brueton on Saturday it was rainin PB’s and the winter-work is paying off. Pre-Warwick Half Gareth Wainwright and Jack Bristow took K&D’s 1-2 running 17:23 and 17:30 while Gary Polhill delivered another PB to cap off his great winter’s XC season, running 18:10. He’s making eyes at that 18 minute barrier.
For K&D women it was Mary Heald who led the ladies round in 21:54 with buggy. Louise Bell in 22:56 took 2nd K&D’er nipping ahead of Kerry Ann Thompson who ran 23:20. Kerry Ann dipped Jane Hunt on the line beating her by 1 second.
Congratulations to Jack Bristow who completed his 50th parkrun.
Sarah Baker scored a PB of 32:22 and joined Dawn Woolven (29:02), Chris Privett (26:55), Jan Hornby (25:34), Gareth Lloyd (24:50), Kay Adenipekun (23:13), Paul O’Donnell (21:56), Josh Hartle (19:30), Ainsley Wainwright (19:23) and Gary Polhill (18:10) on a very long PB Roll of Honour!
Basildon parkrun:
Simon Battson’s adventures took him to Basildon on Saturday where he ran 25:13
Newcastle parkrun:
Greg Turner found himself up north sampling the finest Brown Ales. He ran 18:54. Clearly nobody told him you didn’t actually have to go to Newcastle to drink Newcy Brown.
Coventry parkrun:
Steve Armstrong ran 21:01 to only just miss out on going under 21. Clearly never learned the Colin Jackson-dip.
Arrow Valley parkrun:
Jack Whitehouse recorded a lovely little PB running 21:19 in Redditch.
Cannon Hill parkrun:
Johnny Bellman ran a numerically pleasing 26:26 at Cannon Hill. Nice bit of Stopwatch Bingo.
Sandwell Valley parkrun:
No qualms for the Quarmby’s on Sat, they headed straight to Sandwell. Chris ran 33:32 and Jane clocked 34:39.
HaverfordWest parkrun:
First place was Ffion Ouseley who ran 22:04 while Steve Ouseley ran 22:05. Husband/Wife team? Brother/Sister? Not see a 1-2 like that in a while thought. Steve Marks got to enjoy the quirk, he ran 45:31.
Exeter Riverside parkrun:
Robert Mundy is in Devonia and on the flat Exeter river-side he ran 19:33. Also Rob, if you’re reading this Chairman Darren has some kit for you.
Tomorrow: Super Fast Warwick Halfing, Tim Price’s massive slab of meat, Lads on Tour and Splashing Mud at Centurions.
