Monsal Half Marathon:

The Monsal Trail Half Marathon featured a number of runners from K&D this year. Jane Hunt was star of the show on Saturday, emerging as winner of her age group. Hope she has space on her mantelpiece for the shiny new trophy!

Midlands Road Relays:

Mixed fortunes for the men and women at the Midland’s Road Relays. Unfortunately the men’s team were devastated by injuries, illness, marathon-conflicts, tropical diseases, weird rashes in places that were blamed on short-shorts and will require 6-8 weeks of antibiotics and cream from the doctors….

Sadly that all piled up to mean we couldn’t field a full men’s team. Ouch. Disappointing after the Cross Country successes but alas. These things do happen from time to time.

The ladies though showed far more wellness and fleet of foot. Finishing a fantastic 25th/65 teams. All the ladies put in excellent performances across the board and were rewarded with very good team and individual results.
