If you missed out on the Oxford Half Ballot or just don’t want to run whatever distance Birmingham’s ‘Great Run’ event turns out to be this year email kdrunningclub@gmail.com and we have guaranteed entries for you. Email us and we’ll send you the link and code.

Oxford Half is a sold-out event and runs on a ballot system but as an EA Affiliated Club Member you can skip all that drama and get your place sorted. You have until 31st March. If enough of you want to do it we’ll make it an official club outing. Entries are £47 which is nuts. But hey, you probably won’t be running 11.2miles like in Birmingham so swings and roundabouts. Plus you get a Tote bag and free race photos.

Two parter this week as so many of you were running!

Chicago Marathon:
The boys took over the windy city as Chris Sharp, Gareth Wainwright and John Garside took on Chicago, Mo and rotten weather. Sharpy ran 2:42:26 finishing 267th. Gareth ran 2:54:01 and John clocked 3:41:16. Great running in terrible conditions.

Chester Marathon:
Superb runs from Rob Michaelson-Yeates and Mary Heald headlined Chester Marathon. Rob scorched round in 2:50:06 while Mary, on a week’s notice, turned up and crushed a 3:14:11. A one week training plan. :laughingfaceemoji/cryingfaceemoiji:. Epic running from both.  Special mentions to Rob Ambrose (who banished London memories and ran consistently for 26.2), Monica who donned the Northern Ireland Masters International vest (and battled through despite not feeling 100%, doing NI very proud!) and Paul Winwood who ran a 25 min PB!

Full results:
