Weekend Recap: PB Reveller
Bourton 10k:
Despite an injury interrupted buildup Chris Revell still managed to rewrite his Power of 10 PB. Chris rocked up and dropped a strong 38.31 to knock 90 seconds off his previous best. Bish. Bash. Bosh. Take a rest, get your body right and you’ll be back even stronger soon Chris.
Brueton parkrun:
Sharpy didn’t show any rustiness from doubling his child based responsibilities as he led Brueton parkrun home in 16:38 at the weekend. Behind Chris was Gareth Wainwright who continued his magnificent consistency – like a well made dumpling. His 17:14 settled him nicely in second overall. Anthony Dutton made a long overdue return to the K&D Podium with a 19:58.
Kate Marsh was rewarded for her recent training exploits with a superb new PB. She finished first K&D woman, broke 24 for the first time and ran 23:55. Well done Kate. Kate pipped Karen Ratcliffe who ran 25:35 making it a meat free first two for the veggie and vegan. Plant Powered. Claire Maggs took the third place K&D woman title running 27:41. Luckily for her the bouquets for this week’s podium were made of steak…
(Sorry Kate and Karen)
Joining Kate in PB Corner this week is Nick Burke who ran 27:43 on his second parkrun. It’s a busy PB corner because Paul O’Donnell ran 22:24, Russel Singleton ran 22:13 and Kelly Cridland ran 32:42 on her parkrun debut. Celebratory shortbread biscuits all round!
Ashton Court parkrun:
Down Bristol way we find Sarah Cattell this weekend. She ran Ashton Court in 26:42.
Leamington parkrun:
20 miles from home Jonathon Bellman sped round in 19:40 at Royal Leamington Spa.
Arrow Valley parkrun:
Lord of Shrewley Richard Dixon sauntered round Arrow Valley in a brill 18:26. Not bad for a man of his… experience.
Hove Promenade:
Way down south and by the sea are King and Church. Which sounds like an excellent country pub. Emily King ran 30:13 and Sarah Church ran 37:07. They serve an excellent real ale.
