Knowle Fun Run:

It was a hot, hot, hot afternoon at the Knowle Fun Run as the 9.6km course brought residents out with their hoses to keep runners cool. Knowle & Dorridge RC fought off a Coventry Godiva throw down, locals cheered on their Green and Gold heroes and there were plenty of familiar faces supporting. Congrats to our A Team who retained the Team Trophy.

Worcester Half Marathon:

Congrats to Adam O’Nions who supplemented his Knowle Fun Run supporting duties with a quick jaunt round Worcester Half Marathon in 1:37:44 Read more

Hi All,

See below for your Knowle Fun Run Teams. A little friendly inter-club rivalry. We’ve selected a crack band of elite ringers (and Darren) to try win the team title as a matter of local pride.

Everyone else has been selected on the complicated process of trying to guess who’s similar time wise. Lets see if any of the teams can overhaul the teams in front of them. Let battle commence!

Every Year Knowle & Dorridge RC turn out en mass at our local event – The Knowle Fun Run.

If you are running this year please do let us know ASAP by emailing kdrunningclub@gmail.com with a quick “I’M IN!” message.

We select the fastest 4 to retain the team title, then mix up all the other entrants for some interclub team competition.

This year there is both a 5k and a 10k (or 9.6k option based on last yr’s route) – most of our registered runners have signed up for the 10k but we encourage you to run whichever you prefer.

The Knowle Fun Run is a fantastic opportunity to showcase our club to the local community as well as showing off your athletic prowess to your neighbours. And everyone loves showing off to their neighbours!

In past years our entries have numbered 50 or more. A sea of green & gold! We currently have 26 names down.

Did you know we also sponsor the event? Read more

The slight shortness of the course aside it was another lovely day for the Knowle Fun Run as masses of K&D athletes turned out at our local. And hey, we all wanted a nice new 9.6km PB.

Below are all the runners results I could see including the Alphabetti Spaghetti Inter-Club Comp results. Congratulations to Team F and J who both jumped 2 places. I’ll have some chocolate for you later at Training. Read more

The Knowle Fun Run has arrived. As per every year we a) have a plethora of talented athletes and b) have none of them running on Sunday. We do have you lot listed below though:

This year you have been put into teams based on estimated finishing times. This has been a rigorous scientific process including three Nobel Prize winning mathmaticians, extensive data crunching and looking you up on Power of 10 and or guessing where I didn’t have data on your 10k times.

The aim of the game is for each team to try and jump as many alphabetical places as possible. The team that does so will win a prize up to and including the value of… £4. That’s a quid each. From the chairman’s pocket no less (It’ll probably be some chocolate). Like Alphabetti Spaghetti the letters should all be mixed up by the end.

A big well done to everyone who came out to run this weekend just gone, there were some great performances from Team K&D across parkrun and Knowle Fun Run.

There were 12 club members running at parkrun on saturday with lots of sore heads presumably accounting for absentees following the previous nights awards do festivities (it’s ok, you can be excused this once). Though i’m sure most will have just been resting for the annual shindig in the sun that is the Knowle Fun Run.
