We all know that long distance running can be lonely at times. Cranking out those trials of miles. That’s why podcasts can provide the perfect companion to your attendance at the Church of the Solo Sunday Long Run or those tough mid-week six milers.
We have compiled together a number of podcasts to help your running knowledge blossom like… blossom… on a blossom tree.
Some will download automatically, some you might need to save manually (right click and save as…either when the file plays or on the direct download link). Listen at home or on the run for advice from top coaches, reliable sources and world class athletes. They should automatically update on our site every time a new podcast is published by the authors.
You’ll find regular podcasts by:
Tom Williams (parkrun MD) and Martin Yelling (Yelling Performance w/ wife Liz Yelling who was a GB Olympian), Steve Magness (Head Univ of Houston XC coach, author of Science of Running), Jonathan Marcus (Head Coach, Founder High Performance West), Tina Muir (GB Int. with 2:37 marathon pb), Vern Gambetta (Associate Editor IAAF Technical Journal, Co-Founder USA Track & Field Coaching Education Programme), Ray Maker (Sports Tech Genius) and Jay Johnson (former Recruiting Coordinator and Middle Distance coach at the University of Colorado, now Director of Boulder Running Camps) amongst others.
In the ‘Other’ section you’ll also find a number of fun, interesting or irreverent podcasts to also help you through those solo runs.
Remember: If you run with headphones never have the volume so loud that you aren’t aware of your surroundings. You should always be able to hear traffic.
The Podcast Collection can be found under the Training Menu above or here:
