Monday: Killer Kathy’s Monday Funday – Speed Session for runners of all abilities usually meeting at St. Phillips, Dorridge at 19:30 led by a mix of Captain Kathy, Hannah England and Stephen Ray.
This is for those of you who didn’t do 20 miles on Sunday – these are hard sessions so be sensible if you’ve been to the Church of the Sunday Long Run the day before. We advise an easy recovery run if you’ve been out Sunday.
Tuesday: Club Sub-21 with Coach Colin. Tempo runs or interval training on the road for runners capable of running 5k in about 21 minutes or faster meeting in the stands at Norman Green Athletics Track in Solihull at 18:30. Perfect for those of you looking to make that step up.
Wednesday: The Main Club Night. We all meet at St. Phillips for sessions prescribed by Hannah England. A big social night with added running.
Thursday: Club Sub-21 with Coach Colin Interval training on the track for runners capable of running 5k in 21 minutes or faster meeting in the stand at Norman Green Athletics Track in Solihull at 18:30. Again, perfect for those of you looking to become increasingly competitive.
Friday: Improvers Session – Our Improvers meet at various places in Knowle & Dorridge at 9:15 (term time only) – ask for Tracy. This is an ideal group if you are fairly new to running and wish to improve or are just looking for some company on your runs. A mixed group paced between 9-12 minute miles and looking to improve, with a variety of sessions from intervals to a leisurely run. All that is required is that you can jog for about 20 minutes. Details of each run are posted on their facebook group.
Saturday: XC with Coach Colin – There is hill and circuit training throughout the winter meeting at Cofton Park at 08.30am. Read more HERE. Adaptable for all abilities as long as you don’t mind a little mud.
Sunday: Many of our members arrange easy long runs as part of their training. There are many informal groups that head out for runs of varying distances and at varying paces – ask on a Wednesday, check the forum or follow us on Twitter @KandDRC.
